Book Launch

A number of Comunn Gàidhlig Astràilia members attended Sydney University on Thursday 23rd October 2014 for a reception and launch of the 2nd edition of Colloquial Scottish Gaelic: the Complete Course for Beginners by Katherine Macleod Spadaro and Katie Graham, Routledge 2014. The opportunity was taken at the reception for Rod McInnes, Convenor of CGA, to present a cheque to Claire Dunne on behalf of the Celtic Studies Foundation, towards funding for the teacher of Scottish Gaelic at Sydney University.

Before the reception, a fascinating talk was given by Nick Card, director of the excavations being carried out at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, about the archaeological findings so far.
